Query from David Richmond:
"My paternal grandmother was a Finlaw, and I believe I am descended from James Finley who survived the Hancock House Massacre... I am trying to find any information about Robert Finlaw, son of James, and father of William P. Finlaw (born 16 September 1797) who is my ancestor.
"I found his will information in the New Jersey Abstract of Wills, 1670-1817, p. 127.  Shows Robert's date of death to be 15 September 1798, and shows Hannah Finlaw to be the Administratrix.  I am guessing she is his wife.  Residence location at date of death is Lower Alloways Township, Salem County.  Although Robert died young, his son, William, was born 16 September 1797, the 1850 Federal Census shows William living in Lower Alloways Creek Township, and I have a date of death of 3 October 1859."
