I just received some old documents from Georgia relating to the Samuel and Ben Shimp Family that owned the Ben Shimp and Bob Wright Car Dealership in 1953.  Also included is a will of Samuel Shimp.  It appears that this Samuel Shimp is descended from a Samuel Shimp born about 1808 who married Matilda Reeves and lived in the Canton, Salem County area.  I believe the Ben Shimp that is pictured in front of the car dealership in 1953 was the son of Ben F. Shimp Sr and Florence Turner Dare.

 

Included with the old documents are old unlabeled photos, and we are interested in getting these back to the closest family possible.
